and here she is with her little brother Samuel, showing off her hard work!

Papertake Weekly Challenge meets CCEE Stampers

I've taken the Papertake Weekly sketch and put it with CCEE Stampers' theme which is 'footprints' this week. My good friend Sarah has just announced that she is 13 weeks pregnant which is excellent news as she was told she would never conceive naturally. Lots of excitment, naturally, and she even knows that she's having a baby boy.

(Thought I'd have a go at the arty farty angle!)

I also made her a 'pregnancy survival kit' which consisted of:

Tissues (for tears)
Sweets (for energy)
Chocolates (for treats)
A teddy (for cuddles)
Socks (for snuggles)
Lavendar bath salts and candles (for relaxing)
Rennie (for, well it's obvious really!)
DeCaf tea bags (for brewing)
A door hanger (saying 'Tonight' and 'Not Tonight')
A bottle of wine (for February - after the baby's born)

She loved it!

I got the template for the box from an In Love with Stamping tutorial by Jo Dumbleton which I adapted to make bigger

Mojo Monday meets Sketch Saturday

I have made this door hanger for a friend and I included it as part of a larger (handmade) present - see next post for further details!

Sketch Saturday

For this week's Sketch Saturday challenge I decided to carry on with my scrapbooking campaign (I am scrapping random photos at the moment to decorate my craft room with) and choose a picture of me and my bestest friend (and Maid of Honour) on her 21st birthday which was a good few years ago now. We dressed up and went into town - she was dressed as Queen Elizabeth and I was Snow White - what a night!

This time last year...

Ben proposed! The wedding is now a year away but the plans are coming on nicely. What better way to celebrate the event that by doing a scrapbook page showing how happy we were that evening...

Given that this photo captures my favourite thing in the world I thought it would be the perfect project for this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge 'My Favourite Things'.
