A Bouncing Baby Boy!

My friend Sarah had a lovely little baby boy on Monday! He's called Oliver and he was 8lb10. I can't wait to meet him but figured I ought to leave them to it for a little while to get through the hordes of visitors! So I have made them a card instead. I used this weeks Friday Sketchers sketch...

and this is what I came up with

SJ's giveaways!

Head on over to Sarah-Jane's blog - she has a fab week of giveaways!
I'm hoping to win but I probably won't as I never do! But, you've got to be in it to win it!

Special Birthday card

And the reason it's special is because it was for my friend Sarah who is 9 months pregnant and was really hoping to enjoy a labour free day! As far as I'm aware she managed it (her birthday was on Sunday) but I haven't spoken to her for a few days. On the other hand I think I would have had a text by now if the baby had arrived!

I used this week's Sketch Saturday sketch

and this is what I came up with

Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly, Itty Bitty Buds
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, old olive, whisper white
DSP: Razzleberry Lemonade
Ribbon: Rich Razzleberry polka dot, linen thread
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, old olive, perfect plum
Button: Old olive
Punches: 1/2" circle, 3/4" circle, 1" circle, 1 1/4" circle, 1 3/8" circle, ticket corner, butterfly
Other: hole punch, Dimensionals, Stamp a ma jig, glue dots, nesties, sticky strip

Wedding Card

Our friends are getting married next weekend and I've had my orders to make the card in advance rather than the morning of the wedding (as usual!) so I've used the sketch from CCEE Stampers... make this nice and simple card

60th Birthday card

Well, you know you've made it in the card making world when your boss asks you to make a card for his secretary's 60th birthday! I've been lacking inspiration this last two weeks or so due to having a mega bad cold and sinus infection. I've also been working on mass producing my wedding invitations (which I'm starting to think I should have made simpler!) so with all that I haven't done much crafting.

I used this week's Sketch Saturday sketch and took inspiration for the colour combo from last year's IB&C and Julie's blog

...and this is what I came up with

I'm actually quite pleased with the way it came out, I just hope my boss is as well!

Cardstock: Kraft, not quite navy, whisper white
DSP: Fall Flowers
Ribbon: Very Vanilla, linin thread
Ink: Not quite navy, soft suede, old olive, black staz-on
Stamps: Sincere Salutations, Blooming with beauty, Sanded background
Button & brads: Not quite navy
Punches: oval, scallop oval, 1" circle, 3/4" circle, 1/2" circle, eyelet border
Other: numer dies & die cutting machine, dimensionals, glue dots, sticky strip, glue, aqua painters, sponge, paper piercing tool
