Last of my Special Christmas Cards

Another Special Christmas Card

...and this time it is for my parents! I'm guessing it will be the most wintery card on their mantlepiece as they are in Florida for the winter again this year - I wonder if they give wintery Christmas cards over there?!

We're off to join them on Friday (fingers crossed given the snow!) so I'll soon know the answer!

I based this card on last week's Sketch Saturday sketch which was absolutely fab! I'm going to enter this one in the current A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge which is a nice easy one: Christmas Cards!

Winter Wonderland Niki

Baby Cate

My lovely friend Jenny just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Catherine Hana, 7lb 1oz and she is absolutley gorgeous! I met her for the first time today.

Trick or Treat!

I know it's a bit late but I had loads of people round for dinner on Sunday and given it was Halloween I couldn't resist these lovely little pumpkins as placenames!

I also made some little treat boxes for Eleanor & Samuel but I forgot to take photos of them d'oh! Eleanor if you are reading this can you take a picture of it and email it to me!!

Saturday's Class

We had a fab day on Saturday! All my ladies made 31 Christmas cards each which is a huge amount in just 6 hours

I meant to take a picture before we started but I ran out of time!

Little Pressies

My lovely husband asked me the other day "can you put together a card and some little pressies for my mum and grandma by the weekend"

Right, that meant my scrappin night last night turned into a card and box making night instead!

For my Christmas Workshop on Saturday, my ladies have a challenge: they must make as many tags as they can in order to win a fab prize - what they don't know is that they all have to be different!

Christmas Crafting

I'm holding an all day workshop on Saturday - we'll be making 30 (yes 30!) quick-make Christmas cards, one large card (see my post of 2nd October) and as many present tags as possible. There is going to be a prize for the person who makes the most - watch out for my samples on here!

Anyway, as a thank you to my lovely ladies for coming, they will all be getting a little box containing a few little choccies and a small packet of buttons

Bold & Bright - not my thing!!!

I fancied a challenge and thought I'd step outside my comfort zone and go for a really bright colour..Bermuda Bay...I clearly shouldn't have done!

I don't like this one at all!!!

Just for Eleanor

My little friend Eleanor, who was my bridesmaid, came with me to Alley Pally on Saturday and was in awe of the sheer amount of stash there (and at how much I bought!)

She was desperate for more stamps but her allowance didn't quite stretch that far so I have stamped her out some images and am going to send them to her

Of course, I had to make a card to send them in...

and I wanted to try out the charms I bought on Saturday...

...and the mini sewing machine I bought last weekend...

Having a go at Distressing

My favourite auntie, Auntie Vera, turns 80 on Wednesday so such a special birthday called for a very special card! I've used a lot of my Alley Pally purchases from yesterday to create this one and thought I'd give distressing a try which is something I usually shy away from...

A Hard Day's Shopping!

I just love the Stamp and Scrapbooking show at Alexandra Palace! We spent all day there today and I spent a small fortune! Had a fab day though and look at all the goodies!!!
