Simon's 30th

Our friend Simon turned 30 on Easter weekend and here is the card I made for him...

I based it on last week's Sketch Saturday sketch (but I didn't get around to posting it in time!) and I had a go at paper piecing (hat and trousers) which is something I'm still trying to master!

Ben thought it was a bit girly for a boy so I ended up removing the top bow and replacing it with 3 pearls. I must admid, it did look better that way (but don't tell Ben I said so!!!)
